Tool Maker
Havamotion Inc. www.havamotion.com is involved in the R&D and manufacturing of the state of Art Wind Turbines with specialty in extremely low speed wind electric generation for special application and locations.
Havamotion requires an experienced Tool Maker as part of its New Product Development Team to participate in the designs of the mechanical sections of products under design consideration.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess Government issued Tool Maker certificate of qualification, indicating completion of Government apprenticeship.
- Minimum 2 years welding and tool making along with shop experience in a R&D work environment.
- Possess own tools and equipment.
- Capable of reading and interpreting tool & die drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Mechanically inclined and hands on attitude to Mechanical Design.
- Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.
- Setting up machine tools such as Welding, drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
- Cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions.
- 3D Spatial reasoning and understanding of part fit up in weld fixtures.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
Responsibilities:
Salary: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 gross per year
